Tamarindo Surf School is the first of its kind founded in Costa Rica. Our unique teaching method is based on experience and knowledge acquired over years of study and surfing. All of our surf instructors are Ticos (local Costa Ricans). This means your surf lesson will not only be conducted by an experienced surf instructor who knows the local breaks, but one who will give you some exposure to the Costa Rican culture.

The Beach
We are located directly on Tamarindo main beach, where the waves are perfect for learning how to surf all year round. Our location is also only a short drive from famous nearby surf breaks like, Avellanes, Playa Grande and Playa Negra.. In addition to Surf Lessons, we offer surf trips for experienced surfers who seek great adventures at some of the best surf spots in Cost Rica including the famous ‘Witches Rock’ and ‘Ollies Point’.
